Sweet&Free

Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

This explains what I do with your personal data when you visit sweetandfree.com, join my email list, or buy the book. I have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Who is responsible

The data controller is:

Gunita Moskovljevica, sole proprietor registered in Latvia
Address: Kr. Barona iela 79, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia
Email: gunitaqueen@gmail.com

What I collect and why

Your email address To send you the free guide and, afterwards, occasional emails about baking and about my books. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
Your name, email and billing country To process your purchase, deliver the file, and issue a receipt. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
Transaction records To meet accounting and tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Anything you write to me To answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.
Site and advertising data Pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, and whether you arrived from an advert. Used to see whether my advertising works. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

I never see or store your card number. Stripe handles that.

Who else handles your data

I use a small number of service providers. Each one only receives what it needs:

Data leaving the EU

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider.

How long I keep it

Cookies and tracking

The site uses the Meta pixel to measure whether my adverts lead to sign-ups and purchases. It is not loaded until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can decline without losing access to anything on the site.

Stripe sets cookies necessary to process payments and prevent fraud. Those are essential and cannot be switched off, because payment would not work without them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me to:

Write to gunitaqueen@gmail.com and I will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv), or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If I change this policy meaningfully, I will update the date at the top and, where it affects you directly, say so by email.
